Black mold on a windowsill means the glass has been wet long enough for growth to get a meal. Wipe the small hard surface after you dry it, then stop the condensation. If the sill is soft, the spot keeps returning, or it sits beside a child's bed, treat the room's humidity and that sleeping spot as urgent.

Common questions
Is windowsill mold toxic black mold?+
Dark growth on a wet sill is common and worth removing. The color is not a lab ID. Persistent wetting is the hazard to take seriously, especially in a bedroom.
Can I paint over it?+
Paint over a dirty, damp sill and you will get a blister and a smell. Clean and dry first. If the wood is rotten, painting is a costume.
Why is it only on one window?+
